Hudson trailed 31-8 at the end of one and despite holding the Indians to single digit scoring in two of the remaining three quarters, couldn't overcome the big early deficit.

"Menomonie came at us from the beginning," Raider head coach Beth Graskewicz said. "My thought was, we would go about three to four minutes with our man-to-man, then switch to a 3-2 high (zone) to slow them down. I take full responsibility for the first quarter. I should have started out in the zone. We actually won the second quarter and once we settled down, played a little better."

Hudson outscored Menomonie 14-9 in the second quarter to make it a 40-22 score at halftime. But the Raiders managed just four points in the third quarter while falling behind 58-26 before outscoring the Indians 13-9 in the final eight minutes.

Thirteen of the 14 Menomonie players who saw action scored points and the Indians hit seven three-pointers in the game.

"Menomonie is a very good basketball team," Graskewicz said about the Indians, who improved to 5-0 with the win. "Very athletic and all 14 kids on their roster are shooters. They are a very hard team to guard because they drive so well, and once you stop the drive they kick it out for a three.

"Plus, they pressure you full court," she added.

Jamie Lindstrom led the Raiders with 12 points in the loss while Morgan Karras finished with nine, including Hudson's only three-pointer of the night. Kindra Witthus scored six points and Jessie Kirkwood had four while Kait Haag, Jo Maki, Kelsey Scharfenberg and Nicole Mara all added two each.

The Raiders, now 1-3 overall, 1-1 in the BRC, will host River Falls (1-3, 0-2) Friday, Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m.
