HHS holiday concert tickets go on sale Dec. 4
The Hudson High School Choral Department will present its fifth anniversary Home for the Holiday Concert, "Arise, Shine!" on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 13 and 14.
This concert features over 300 high school voices, an 85-voice children's choir, handbell choir and the River City Symphony Orchestra. This year's music will revolve around the main theme of arise and shine. Musical selections include: "Arise, Your Light Has Come" by David Danner, "Gloria" from Shubert's Mass in G, Mack Wilberg's "First Nowell" and "Arise, Shine" by Dan Forrest.
HHS Director of Choral Activities and Artistic Director for the Home for the Holidays Concert Andrew Haase said, "The purpose of this concert is twofold: to provide our students with a professional musical and educational experience, and to provide an extraordinary musical experience for our community."
Performances of "Arise, Shine!" will take place on Monday, Dec. 13, at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 8 p.m. at the Hudson High School Performing Arts auditorium. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. or until all tickets have sold out. In past years, this performance has sold out within hours of the box office being open. Haase suggests that people wanting tickets get to the high school early. For community members who do not get a ticket, Haase suggests showing up to a performance 20 minutes prior to the start of the show. All empty seats will be resold 10 minutes prior to each performance.
Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and students (age 6-18.) All tickets are by reserved seating. For more information, contact the box office at (715) 377-3808 or e-mail email@example.com.
