HHS students recognized for AP scores
Hudson High School graduates are already onto the next phase of their lives but for some there is still one more high school accomplishment to note.
The school was recently notified by the College Board's Advanced Placement Program of exceptional performances by numerous HHS graduates in advanced placement courses they took while in high school. Advanced placement courses are taught at the college level and can earn college credits for successful performance on AP exams.
The board recognizes several levels of achievement on the AP exams. To qualify as an AP Scholar a student must complete three or more AP exams with scores of 3 or higher. HHS AP Scholars were:
Kelsey Anderson, Tess Babbitt, Erin Bloomer, Cody Brunelle, Parker Draper, Kyla Erickson, Kevin Frank, David Gillingham, Patrick Hughes, Paige Kazak, Travis Kehoe, Kate Keller, Megan Kelly, Abbey Klassen, Madeline Leines, Benjamin Markowski, Own Metzger, Alyssa Paolocci, Ashley Queener, Nicholas Schumacher, Jay Skinner, Hayey Vangelder, Corissa Vought, Nicole Wanner, Matthew Weeks, Morgan Wright and Rachel Zachar.
AP Scholars with Honor earned an average score of 3.25 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. HHS students achieving this were Laura Akers, Erin Anderson, Natalie Anderson, Allison Beaver, Megan Claflin, Catherine Dicerson, Alivia French, Elizabeth Gagliardi, Grant Gorsegner, Rebecca Harrington, Reed Knudson, Ashley Lindemann, Erin Maher, Brendon Sargent, Nathaniel S. Shonkwiler, Adam Swinney, Clayton Truhler, John Webb and Brett Weyer.
Students who qualified as AP Scholars with Distinction by earning an average of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of three or higher on five or more of these exams were Jacob Ball, Jacob Breaker, Kyla Flug, Adam Funkenbusch, Benjamin Gillingham, Samantha Hartzell, Melissa Meyer, Caleb Moore, Ann Pribonic, Shannon Quinn, Matthew Sherick and Peter J. Worrell.
Hartzell also earned a National AP Scholar Award by earning an average score of 4 or higher on all AP exams taken and scores of 4 or higher on the five point scale on eight or more of these exams.
