The Hudson Raiders proved to the largest crowd in years at Ole Haugsrud Field in Superior Friday night that their undefeated record was no fluke as they defeated the Superior High School football team and spoiled the Spartans homecoming with a 43-6 victory.

The Raiders recovered a fumble on the game's opening kickoff and never looked back as they improved to 6-0 overall and 5-0 in the Big Rivers Conference.

Dan Loughney led the Raiders charge with five touchdowns runs, including one from 3 yards out on the third play of the game. The senior, who also scored on runs of 24, 3, 3 and 7 yards, finished with 70 yards on the ground on 12 carries.

Hudson also got a safety from Ethan Stanchik, who tackled Superior's punter in the end zone after the snap went over his head, and a 5-yard touchdown run from Wade Malecha.

Hudson, which outgained Superior 404-138 in total yards, was led by Joe Kelly's 77 yards rushing on nine carries. Malecha added 52 yards rushing and Alex Paulson had 36.
