St. Croix County Historical Society’s annual eighth-grade Hudson History Tour has been moved to Monday, Oct. 7, due to the predicted rain. With the date change, some additional volunteers are needed.

The day’s activities include a walking tour for students in the morning followed by history booths and activities at Lakefront Park in the afternoon. This is a short notice but the volunteer positions are easy and require very little preparation. Volunteers are needed from 8 a.m. to noon to help with the walking tour.

This would require reading a two to three minute script to 15 different groups of students. Afternoon volunteers are needed from noon to 2:30 p.m. to read scripts or help at the history booth activities. Volunteers will receive training and instructions. Anyone who can volunteer to help is welcome and appreciated.

Scripts and background information will be provided. Above, volunteer Heidi Leeson explains Hudson’s history to last year’s eighth-graders. To volunteer, contact Jacki Bradham at (715) 386-3826 or
