'Hoodies for Justice' day April 2 at UWRF
There will be a campus and community forum on the recent shootings in Florida and Wisconsin 5-6:30 p.m. Monday, April 2, at the Kinnickinnic Theater in the University Center at UW-River Falls.
Supporters are encouraged to wear a "hoodie" or hooded shirt all day in solidarity with the families of Bo Morrison and Trayvon Martin.
Panelists will include Michael Dees, attorney and former federal prosecutor; Joel Franklin, attorney and vice-president of St. Paul NAACP; UWRF professors Neil Kraus, political science, and Cynthia Kernahan, Psychology Department; Tyra Nelson, MA instructor and mom; and Charles Hunter, senior student at UWRF.
This event is free and open to the public.
