Hudson Booster Days begins July 2
2014 Hudson Booster Days is right around the corner, starting on Wednesday, July 2 and ending on Sunday, July 6.
The stands, activities and entertainment for this year’s Booster Days are now scheduled, and will go from 5 p.m. to close on July 2 with a carnival and reduced ride specials from 5 to 9 p.m.
The fun continues on Thursday, with the carnival kicking off the day at 1 p.m. At 4 p.m. there will be three food stands with complete meals, as well as a beer garden that will be open until 1 a.m. for people 21 years of age and older.
Live entertainment from the Chris Lawrence Band is from 5:30-8:15 p.m., bingo next to the band shell from 6 to 10, and more music from the Buck Tucker Band from 9 to 12:30 a.m.
The first full day of fun will be on Friday, July 4, starting at 11 a.m. with the kids fishing contest at Lakefront Park until 1 p.m., and a bean bag tournament and food stands starting at noon.
The carnival will be up and running from 12:30-close, and the beer will be flowing at the beer garden from noon to 1 a.m. Also starting at 1 is bingo and live entertainment from Kingsview.
From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. is the Booster Days Car Show on the lawn south of band shell and more live entertainment starts at 5 p.m. with Parachute Empire, and Still Runnin' at 9:10 p.m..
The last day of the 2014 Hudson Booster Days is Saturday, July 5. At 11 a.m. the parade will take over Second Street, followed by more food stands and more beer at noon, the carnival at 12:30 p.m.,the kid’s tractor pull from 1 to 3 p.m. (free for kids 12 and under), and the 11th annual hot dog eating contest sponsored by RJ’s Fresh Meats and Groceries from 4 to 5 p.m.
