The River Channel, the cable television community access channel for Hudson and North Hudson, is airing interviews with the candidates for the Hudson City Council.

Mary Claire Potter conducted the interviews for the Western Wisconsin Journal program. They will air every Friday at 7 p.m., every Saturday at 7 a.m. and every Sunday at 5 p.m. on cable channel 15 up until the April 1 election.

Incumbent Mary Yacoub is the only candidate in District 2 following the announcement by Joe Allen that he is dropping out of the race. Allen and his family will be moving to Madison, where he has accepted a new job as vice president of advertising sales and marketing for the Wisconsin State Journal and The Capital Times newspapers.

Tom McCormick and Dan Tjornehoj are the candidates in District 3, where incumbent Lori Bernard decided not to run for a fourth term.

In District 4, incumbent Kurt TeWinkel is being challenged by Jim Webber.
