Eliot Motu at 220 pounds is the only Raider wrestler who will wrestle Friday but will have to do so in the consolation round.

Motu won a close 4-3 win over Madison West's Jackson Middleton in the prelims. He scored takedowns in the first and third periods and had to hold off a takedown attempt just barely as time expired in the third period.

But time went against Motu vs. Bay Port's Joe Kistlaar (39-2) in the quarterfinals. Kistlaar pinned Motu in 3:56 with the score tied 3-3. Motu (34-10) will wrestle Kotlin Kislia (37-7) of Watertown in the cosolation round Friday morning.

Hudson's Sawyer Massie (38-8) lost 3-1 to Port Washington's Quentin Lueck (29-9) at 145 and his teammate Mathias Tobin (39-7) was beaten in the 285-pound prelims by Port Washington's Andy Fidler (27-14) 8-5.

Massie just couldn't generate the offense to score afater going down 2-0 early in the match. Tobin fell behind 6-1 after a takedown and two-point nearfall early in the second period. He came back to within one at 6-5 but couldn't get the winning takedown despite having a deep single-leg shot with :30 seconds to go.
