Hudson Liquor expands and remodels
Hudson Liquor, located at 131 Carmichael Road, Suite 104, is between Target and Walgreen's. Customers will be surprised when they walk through the door to find the store has practically doubled in space, going from 2,400 square feet to 4,700 square feet.
The remodeling and expansion started the beginning of April, when space became available adjacent to the existing store.
"One of the biggest reasons for the move was to create a better shopping experience for our customers," said Chad Moe, owner of Hudson Liquor.
Arriving this week is a second cooler, which will feature craft beers. The eight door cooler is 8 feet by 21 feet and it will be installed next to the already existing beer cave.
Nearly every product line has expanded, with over 1,000 wines, displayed on custom made racks which present the top bottles in a bright visual way. No more straining your eyes to see bottles tucked in dark bins.
Moe, who has owned the store since 2007, commented that the variety of nearly every product has exploded since he became involved in the business, including the now popular black rum.
"We have cookie dough vodka," said Moe. "There is practically a new vodka flavor every day."
The expansion allowed for a larger tasting area also. Hudson Liquor offers a tasting event every Friday from 4 to 6 p.m.
"We hope to offer them Thursday, Friday and Saturday this summer," said Moe. Each day more and more new products arrive to fill out the inventory, including cigars.
"I hope to be a stop where everyone can go now," said Moe of his expanded selection from wines to vodkas and craft beers.
Hudson Liquor is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, every day of the year.
