The 10th annual Spring Showcase Sunday drew a near-record crowd to the Hudson Sports and Civic Center Sunday, April 15.

"We were thrilled with the turnout," said Andrea Jorgenson, director of communications & programs for the Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau. "All the participating businesses were happy with the turnout. We are thankful to all the businesses and the people who support his event."

Jorgenson was also pleased with the variety of entertainment at this year's event.

"Except for the magician, all the entertainment was local and they did a wonderful job," Jorgenson said.

Chamber President Kim Heinemann echoed Jorgenson's comments. She also commended the Chamber committee members who organized the event that featured over 80 local businesses.

"One of the goals of the Showcase is to help people realize that they don't have to travel too far from Hudson," Heinemann said. "A person can shop locally and find all the services and products they want and need."
