A Hudson woman is accused of depositing some of the money her husband allegedly stole in an armored car robbery, as part of a crime spree in 2003.

Debra Wiegand, 29, was charged this week in St. Croix County with being a party to two counts of armed robbery, arson and vehicle theft.

Authorities said Zachary Wiegand, 32, shot and wounded a woman in Lake Elmo Minn., stole the mini-van of a woman who stopped to help the victim, robbed the armored car in Hudson the next day, and then burned the mini-van later in a Hudson cemetery.

Wiegand was arrested last year after police in Minneapolis found a gun that was traced to him. He was sentenced to 13 years in prison for the Minnesota crimes.

And he was charged in Wisconsin with the identical crimes his wife was charged with on Monday.

Hudson Police Chief Marty Jensen said his officers believed Debra Wiegand was a "willing participant" in the crime spree.

A sum of $238,000 was stolen in the armored car heist.

Authorities said Debra Weigand put $10,000 of it in a safe deposit box at a bank, and only she had access to it. She's free on a signature bond, and is due back in court June 29.
