Hudson woman gets disturbing call
On Feb. 6 around 7:45 a.m., a Hudson woman received a call from a man saying he was outside a grocery store with an 11-year-old girl who needed help.
When the woman reported the call to Hudson police, she said the man told her the girl's name was Sammy and that she had given him the woman's phone number and told him she could help.
The woman told the caller that she didn't know anyone named Sammy. She then asked which grocery store the man was at, County Market or Econofoods. The man replied by saying, "Yah, one of them."
He then asked the woman if she would like to know what he'd been doing with the girl for the past few hours. The woman immediately said no and hung up the phone. She then called police.
Hudson police were able to trace the call back to a private residence in Sierra Madre, Calif. They called the number, but no one answered. They then contacted the Sierra Madre authorities, who said they will investigate the call.
