A group of Hudson women gather on the dike road bridge Saturday morning to begin the celebration of the 100th International Women's Day. From left are Margaret Phinney, Sharon Schwitzer, Gay Ward, Michelle Gin, Maggie Wooley, Jody Branson, Marie Wheeler, Beverly Solsvig, the Rev. Stephanie Anthony, Lenore Hoolihan, Lynne Hobson, Nancy Gunderson, Denice Brew, Marian Schultz, Beth Stidham, Barb Van Loenen, Sarah Van Loenen, Laura Arthur, Karoline Anthony and Nancy Gin. After the "Join Me on the Bridge" event, the women went to First Presbyterian Church for more activities sponsored by Women for Women International, an organization that assists women in war-torn regions. Also participating in the activities were Carol McCuen, Georgia Whitcomb, Anna Arthur, Mike Brew, Micah Gin and Vince Gin.
