Jacquelyn Stanberry, 45
Jacquelyn Kay "Jackie" Stanberry, 45, of Hudson died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
Jackie was born Oct. 23, 1963, in Virginia, Minn., the daughter of Reynold Kenneth and Mary Ann (Kervinen) Kivela.
She was raised in Virginia, Minn., and attended schools there, graduating from Roosevelt High School. She then went on to pursue her associate degree from Mesabi Community College in Virginia.
Jackie worked for many years at Twin City Testing of St. Paul and was most recently employed as a data entry clerk at Nor-Lake in Hudson.
From her previous marriage to Mike Miller, Jackie was blessed with three children: Lucas, Jason and Samantha.
On Aug. 19, 2005, she was united in marriage to Greggory L. Stanberry in Hudson. Through this union in marriage, Jackie would be blessed with two step-children, Greggory J. and Page.
Besides her family, Jackie enjoyed being an avid Green Bay Packers fan as well as following both high school and professional hockey - first for the Minnesota North Stars and then for the Minnesota Wild. Growing up, she was devoted to being the number one fan of her brother Steven when he was playing hockey as a youth.
Jackie leaves behind her husband, Greg; children, Lucas Miller of River Falls, Jason Miller and Samantha Miller of Hudson; step-children Greggory J. Stanberry and Page Stanberry; father, Reynold Kivela of Virginia, Minn.; brother, Steven (fiancée Becky Hujanen) Kivela of Tower, Minn.; sister, Marilyn Kivela of Virginia, Minn.; and mother-in-law Martha Stone; her beloved cat, Miles; as well as many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her infant son, Parker Len Stanberry; mother, Mary Ann; brother, James Kivela; and father-in-law, James H. Stanberry.
A Celebration of Life for Jacquelyn Kay "Jackie" Stanberry will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, with visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the O'Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson and the Countryside Crematory of Baldwin.
