Jamie Johnson is new school board president

The Hudson Board of Education elected new officers at its May 13 meeting.

Jamie Johnson was elected the new president. He was elected to the board in April 2013. He is a senior trial attorney and shareholder with Lommen Abdo, Cole, King & Stageberg, P.A. law firm and has worked in their Hudson office since 1990.

The board’s new vice president is Brian Bell. He has been a board member since April 2006. He is currently president/CEO of Code42 Software, venture-funded, technology (software/cloud) company based in Minneapolis.

Tom Holland, the former board president, was elected clerk. He was first elected to the Board of Education in April 2006. Holland has also served on the Hudson Daybreak Rotary Board, the Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce, and is the first director of the YMCA in Hudson.

Lynn Robson was elected the board’s new treasurer. Robson was re-elected to a third term in the April election. She has formerly served as the board vice-president. She is the CFO of Morries Automotive Group in the Twin Cities and an independent small business owner.

It was the first meeting for newly elected board member Carrie Whitacre.
