Johnson leads Hudson School Board vote, but loser yet to be determined
In unofficial primary results, the loser is yet to be determined in the Hudson School Board race.
Four of five candidates will advance to the April 2 election, but two candidates, Jim Schrock and Matthew Kari, were tied for fourth place in returns reported shortly after 9 p.m.
Jamie Johnson led the field with 888 votes, Jeanette Kunz had 886 and Bruce Hanson 801; Schrock and Kari were tied with 244 votes. The results are unofficial and sometimes a handful of votes are later added to the totals.
The Hudson School District must complete its ballot canvass and send its certified results to St. Croix County Clerk Cindy Campbell by no later than 5 p.m. on Friday. If the two candidates remain tied, a recount is possible, or eventually a coin flip.
