Lenten suppers, fish frys begin this week
Lenten suppers held
First Presbyterian Church is having a series of Lenten simple suppers and worship beginning on March 13 and will continue on Thursday evenings through April 10. The theme of the five weeks of simple suppers and worship will be breaking bread.
The program will look at different Bible stories of people eating together and use scripture, movie clips, artwork, song and discussion to delve deeper into the Word of God.
The dinners will begin at 5:30 p.m. and Bible Study from 6-7 p.m.

Knights hold fish frys
The 18th annual Knights of Columbus Lenten fish fry will be held Fridays, March 28, and April 11, from 4:30-7 p.m. at St. Patrick Church, 1500 Vine St.
Menu includes fried or baked cod, au gratin potatoes, french fries, mac and cheese, green beans, coleslaw, tossed salad, dinner rolls, fruit, dessert and beverages.
Cost is $12 for adults; children 5-12 $6; under 5 free. Take out available.
