Letter-Apologizes for behavior at Ellie's
It's important the Hudson community know all the facts concerning an incident with which I was involved in September 2010, at Ellie's on Main Sports Bar in the City of Hudson.
At that time, I was on multiple medications following two spinal fusions. I was armed and intoxicated. I did offer to assist paramedics because in 2006, I had been trained in CPR and as a First Responder while working at an Xcel Energy power plant and a another plant in Faribault, Minn. I was also a foreman for Marathon's Ashland Oil Refinery and needed this training in case I needed to respond to emergency situations in these dangerous environments.
I pleaded "no contest" to a charge of armed while intoxicated.
I do not remember if I made false allegations about how the victim at Ellie's fell on the floor but if I did, I sincerely apologize.
I also apologize for causing concern to the Hudson community because of my untoward actions. I was under the influence. At no time was anyone in danger. I stopped to offer assistance.
