Letter: Says story not correct
On April 23, the Hudson Star Observer incorrectly reported that the North Hudson Park Board defeated the proposed skate park in committee at its April 13 meeting. This is not correct.
The Park Board only voted against the proposed "location: Sommers Landing Park," in response to neighbors concerned with noise and unsupervised activities. The Park Board did the right thing on April 13.
However, the proposed skate park will continue to be considered if an appropriate location is identified and it is something the community supports. Thoughts on a location suitable for young kids as well as suggestions for all North Hudson parks are welcome at all meetings. Please come informed.
Read the April 23 Star-Observer article and opinions (print and online versions), the Park Board meeting minutes and the Park and Open Space Plan at www.northhudsonvillage.org. The next meeting is Monday, May 11, at 6:30 p.m. at the Village Hall.
