Lions announce activities
The Hudson Lions Club has scheduled a meat raffle and pancake breakfast and is also selling raffle tickets for passes to area golf courses.
The meat raffle starts at 6 p.m. Friday, April 17, at the Village Inn in North Hudson, and includes meat packages with cooler and 50/50 raffles.
The pancake breakfast, held in conjunction with the fire department, runs from 7:30 a.m.-noon at the fire hall, 222 Walnut St., on Sunday, April 19. The breakfast - for a free-will offering - includes sausage, pancakes, scrambled eggs, sweet rolls, milk, orange juice and coffee. All proceeds go to the Hudson Fire Department.
People attending both events can drop off used eyeglasses, sunglasses, hearing aids and cell phones. They may also purchase raffle tickets, $5 each or 5 for $20, for passes to Hudson, New Richmond and River Falls Golf Clubs, Bristol Ridge, Clifton Highlands, St. Croix National, Pine Meadows, Badlands and White Eagle.
The drawing is 7 p.m. May 11 at the Sports Club. Tickets are also available from any Lions club member, at The Stylist shop downtown, Valley House, WESTconsin Credit Union, Investment Centers of America and Edward Jones at Exit 4.
