The proposed amendments are required to maintain compliance with recent changes to Chapter NR 116, Wisconsin Administrative Code, and corresponding Model Floodplain Ordinance, by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. The amendments will also adopt the new Flood Insurance Study and Flood Insurance Rate Map that have been completed by the Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency. The amendments to Section 17.40 are required to maintain participation in the National Flood Insurance Program.
