The Wild River Yacht Club (WRYC), headquartered at the St. Croix Marina in Hudson, recently staged its annual Toys for Tots event. The club presented Hudson Operation HELP with a $1,000 donation to sponsor local families-in-need for the holidays and a $1,000 check for the local food shelf. Along with the financial donations, the club members donated many bags of food and toys.

Also at the event, Hudson Fire Chief Jim Frye, St. Croix EMS & Rescue Chief Eric Christensen, Bayport, Minn., Fire Chief Mike Bell and Deputy Chief Matt Bell each accepted a check for $500 for their respective organizations.

In addition to the donations benefiting the Hudson Community, the club also donated $500 to the Prescott Food Shelf, $1,000 to the VA Wounded Warriors Holiday Program and $1,000 to the Hudson American Legion Post for services benefiting the local veterans.

Donations came from numerous local businesses and several personal/individual donations.
