A jury in Fond du Lac deliberated almost two days before finding a Ripon man guilty of killing his wife with a cinder block.

Kevin Moore, 45, was convicted Thursday of first-degree intentional homicide in the slaying of Dawn Moore, 43, outside their home in late 2006.

Prosecutors said the two fought over money. An IRS levy was slapped on the couple's bank accounts about 10 days before the murder.

Kevin Moore said he was never aware of the levy, and he had plenty of money to give Dawn had she asked.

The jury was told he kept up to $30,000 at home - money he got from the sale of a home in Seattle and from casino winnings.

His defense lawyer, Gerald Boyle, claimed two or three burglars were looking for that cash when they came upon Dawn Moore and killed her.

Testimony said Moore flashed a lot of money at a strip club he frequented in Ripon.

No date was set for his sentencing. He faces life in prison.

Boyle says the case is ripe for an appeal.
