Middle school has choir concert

The Hudson Middle School choirs will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at the Hudson High School Auditorium.

Opening the program, the Sixth Grade Choir will sing "Ubi Caritas" (Latin), "Hine Ma Tov" (Hebrew) and "Keep Your Hand on that Plow" (a traditional spiritual).

The Select Choir, an after-school elective choir made up of students in grades 6-8, will perform "Together, Wherever We Go."

The Seventh Grade Choir will sing "The Arrow and the Song," "Zum Gali Gali" (Israeli folk song) and "Laughing Song" (text by Longfellow).

The eighth-grade women's Bene Voce Singers will perform "The Music of Life" followed by the grade 8 Men's Ensemble singing "If You've Only Got A Moustache," by Stephen Foster.

The Eighth Grade Choir will conclude the concert with the traditional Shaker song "Simple Gifts," "Jubilate Canon" (Latin) and "Torah Orah" (Hebrew).

Accompanying the choirs are LeAnn Stein and Deb McPhetres. The choral music program at the middle school is under the direction of Carol J. Dahle.
