The Hudson boys basketball team got roughed up in games with two of Minnesota's best high school teams last week.

Tuesday night at Hudson, Cretin-Derham Hall defeated the Raiders 70-53.

The win improved the visitors' record to 18-1 on the season. Cretin-Derham Hall is ranked as the sixth-best Class 4A boys team in Minnesota.

No. 1-ranked Hopkins overpowered the visiting Raiders 90-55 Friday night. The Royals led 59-25 at halftime.

The Hopkins boys sit atop the Classic Lake Conference at 12-1 and have an 18-2 record overall.

The Hudson boys' overall record dropped to 7-11 with the losses.

The Raiders remain in the running for a share of the Big Rivers Conference title at 5-5, however.

Eau Claire North and Menomonie share the lead in the conference standings at 6-4 following Friday night's action in which Menomonie upset Eau Claire North and River Falls defeated Rice Lake.

Rice Lake is 6-5 in standings and River Falls shares Hudson's 5-5 record.

The Raiders host Eau Claire Memorial (5-6) Thursday night, Feb.16, and play the last game of their conference schedule Feb. 24 at Menomonie.
