Minor fire cause smoke damage in Hudson early Thursday
A minor fire at 3:24 a.m. Thursday caused smoke damage in an apartment building at 627 13th St. So. In Hudson.
The call involved the Hudson Fire Department and St. Croix EMS with assistance from the Lower St. Croix Valley Fire Department, the town of St. Joseph Fire Department and the River Falls EMS. Most of the fire fighters efforts were involved in ventilating the structure.
Fire fighter Miranda Kustrich said the fire began on a chair in the basement of the building, but was out or nearly out, when fire fighters arrived. No injuries were reported. The apartment building is owned by Paul Anderson.
