Morrison gets Kohl award
Pamela Morrison, an early childhood education at River Crest Elementary School in Hudson, was among those honored with a teacher fellowship award from the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation at a luncheon held Sunday, April 14.
Last month Morrison was named among the recipients of Initiative Scholarships, Excellence Scholarships and Fellowships. The luncheon recognized the accomplishments of the area's outstanding students and educators. Eighteen teacher Fellowship recipients, 19 Excellence Scholarship recipients, and 16 Initiative Scholarship recipients were honored at Sunday's event.
"The Herb Kohl Educational Foundation believes that it is important to publicly acknowledge and applaud the efforts of Wisconsin's leading teachers and students," said Kim Marggraf, spokesperson for the Herb Kohl Foundation .
Each teacher will receive a $1,000 Fellowship and an additional $1,000 grant will be awarded to the teacher's school for use in innovative educational projects. Herb Kohl attended the event, one of five regional award programs sponsored by the Herb Kohl Foundation.
