The new Hudson history movie will be discussed at the St. Croix County Historical Society's annual dinner meeting Thursday, Oct. 21, at the Best Western Hudson House Inn. The meeting is open to public and starts with a social hour at 6 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by the program. The cost is $24 per person and includes chicken kiev dinner.
St. Croix County Historical Society publicity chair Jacki Bradham will give an update on the progress of "The History of Hudson" movie project. The meeting program will include a short preview of the movie.
The Historical Society has partnered with the Hudson/North Hudson Community Access Cable Television to produce a movie. The Hudson Daybreak Rotary and Xcel Energy provided funding for this movie project.
"The movie is a new idea for the Historical Society," says Bradham. "The Historical Society has published several books but this is our first experience with a movie. We are working with the River Channel to share local history in a new media format."
