Green Bay Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy said the team still hasn't officially heard anything from Brett Favre about returning from retirement.

For the past week, media reports have indicated that Favre wants to return to play at least one more season.

But Murphy says all the team has to go on are rumors and speculation.

He says General Manager Ted Thompson has handled the situation very well and "very professionally" so far.

As you might expect, the Packers are getting an earful about Brett Favre on their current "Tailgate Tour" around Wisconsin.

Team president Mark Murphy says five-year-old kids are asking him if Favre plans a comeback.

For the record, Murphy does not believe Favre will be on any NFL roster this year.

Meanwhile, lots of Wisconsinites wouldn't mind seeing No. 4 come back, even if does break the team away from its plans to begin the Aaron Rodgers era.

In a tour stop at Fond du Lac High School Tuesday, not one Rodgers jersey could be seen, but there were lots of Favre jerseys and a billboard on Highway 41 saying, "Four-Ever - We Want You Back."

But receiver James Jones told a youngster it's Rodgers' time now and Favre left at a great time.

The Tailgate Tour continues through the end of the week, with stops in Janesville, Stevens Point, and Marinette.
