New Internet tool will make it easier to follow political cash
It will soon be easier to follow the money in Wisconsin politics.
A new Internet tool for keeping track of political contributions will go online early next year.
The state Government Accountability Board tested the new system last week. It will go on that agency's Web site.
The new system will allow candidates to file their required information directly with the board and it will be posted on-line at the same time.
All candidates and campaign committees registered with the state will file their year-end reports on the computerized set-up. They're due Feb. 2.
