Sunday afternoon, sixteen contestants were narrowed down to eight from which judges selected three to serve as princesses and one as queen of the North Hudson Pepper Fest for the 2012-13 year. It was the perfect afternoon for a coronation. Hundreds gathered in front of the Pepper Fest stage in North Hudson for the crowning of the new royalty. The sixteen candidates were narrowed down to eight finalists. Those finalists included Maggie Weller, Madi Goodman, Emily Vyrostek, Stacey Wanner, Erin O'Brien, Chelsea Bates,Tess Solberg and Kayla Dornfeld.

Each of the finalists had to answer a random question from stage.

While the judges were making their final decision the 2011-12 court made their tearful and joyful farewell presentations.

Selected to represent the North Hudson Pepper Festival for the next twelve months as community ambassadors were as princesses Stacey Wanner, Emily Vyrostek and Erin O'Brien. Maggie Weller was chosen as Queen and long time Pepper Fest volunteer Arlen Wente was named Pepper King. For more photos and information please see the Hudson Star-Observer print edition.
