Approved the expanded area on which alcohol could be served at Kozy Korner. The expanded area was approved for Saturday and Sunday, July 21 and 22, in conjunction with a fourth anniversary celebration at the business (July 21) and a benefit for the Strumke family (July 22). The expanded area includes serving alcohol and a band playing outside the building, but within a fenced-in area.
A condition included with the permit is the completion of outside music no later than 10 p.m. The business asked if the time could be changed to 11 p.m. in case there are delays in getting the music started. Trustees Dan Ortner and Stan Wekkin supported the 11 p.m. deadline, but the board approved the 10 p.m. deadline on the votes of trustees Ted Head, Daryl Standafer, Colleen Berglund-O'Brien and President George Klein.
