North Hudson deer hunt slows in winter

The cold and snow of December has slowed down the urban deer hunt program in North Hudson but the archers involved plan to continue to the end of the season Jan. 31.

Lon Feia, president of River Valley Deer Management, said the six hunters in his group have bagged 22 deer as of Monday morning, the same number reported in early December.

"The good news is that we have had zero complaints, zero confrontations and zero losses to wounding," Feia said.
