The group Northern Gael will perform at The Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson in advance of St. Patrick's Day.

The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 15, two days before the Irish holiday.

The members of the group are Laura MacKenzie (wooden flutes, whistles, concertina, various bagpipes, and voice), Ross Sutter (voice, guitar, bodhrán, and button accordion), and Danielle Enblom (fiddler and sean-nós dancer).

All members of Northern Gael have learned the arts of Irish and Scottish music and dance from noted tradition-bearers on both sides of the Atlantic, and continue to build their skills, repertoire, and collaborations.

In concert, Northern Gael weaves together the vibrant traditions of Ireland, Scotland, and Nova Scotia. From trio performances of beautiful ballads to vigorous sets of dance tunes and nimble steps, Northern Gael presents a lively, genuine, and well informed concert program.

Tickets are $24 and $17 for students of all ages. Reservations may be made by contacting The Phipps ticket office at (715) 386-8409 or online at www.ThePhipps.org.
