'Annie' continues at The Phipps

"Annie," with the book by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse, and lyrics by Martin Charnin, will be presented through Nov. 28 at The Phipps Center for the Arts.

The bright, tuneful score includes the songs "Hard Knock Life," "Fully Dressed," and "Tomorrow."

"Annie" performances will be given on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. as well as Sundays at 2 p.m. There is limited availability for the Sunday matinees.

Tickets are $23 for adults and $16 for all students with a current ID, with a $2 discount for seniors on the Sunday matinees. Discounts are also available by purchasing season tickets. Monroe Crossing performs Sunday

Monroe Crossing, a bluegrass and gospel quintet, will perform in concert on Sunday, Nov. 14, at 7:30 p.m. at The Phipps Center for the Arts.

This noted ensemble plays an upbeat blend of classic and traditional bluegrass, bluegrass gospel, and heartfelt originals. They are known for both their dynamic stage show and for the warmth they share on and off the stage.

Tickets are $24 for adults and $17 for all students. Ticket availability is extremely limited. Reservations may be made by contacting The Phipps ticket office at (715) 386-8409.

Dance party is Nov. 20

A dance party will be held on Saturday, Nov. 20, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. in the dance studio of The Phipps Center for the Arts.

Tom Larson will offer a ballroom dance lesson from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. This is an opportunity to have fun trying out new dance skills in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Dancers of all experience levels are welcome. Refreshments will be provided.
