One injured as storms rumble across state
At least one person was injured Monday night when more thunderstorms and at least one tornado rumbled through southern Wisconsin.
A 16-year-old boy was struck by lightning near Watertown and was taken to a hospital. Other details were not immediately available.
The tornado was reported in Green Lake County, where authorities said a roof was partially blown off a home near Markesan.
Places from La Crosse to Jackson had at least some street flooding. Prairie du Chien had 2.1 inches of rain in just 43 minutes, plus pea-sized hail.
Winds hit 70 mph near LaValle in Sauk County, and a truck almost got blown off a road because of it.
In Pewaukee, lighting started a condominium fire that caused at least $30,000 in damage. No one was hurt.
The National Weather Service says most of Wisconsin will be dry today, but there's still a chance of lingering showers in the south and east.
Our next chance of rain is on Thursday.
