Packers' Barnett is expected to start Sunday
Green Bay Packers' inside linebacker Nick Barnett is expected to start on Sunday night, when the Pack opens its regular season against Chicago at Lambeau Field.
Coach Mike McCarthy is not saying how long Barnett will play, or in what situations, as he comes off a torn ACL knee ligament from last November.
Barnett played his first exhibition game last week at Tennessee and he said he felt good after playing for about 25 snaps.
Receiver Greg Jennings says he's been cleared to play, after he had a concussion at Arizona on Aug. 28.
Jennings expects to start against the Bears.
Back-up quarterback Matt Flynn and safety Aaron Rouse also returned to practice yesterday.
Rouse injured a hamstring on Aug. 20. Flynn hurt a shoulder against Buffalo on Aug. 22.
Rookie defensive lineman B.J. Raji, corner Will Blackmon, and running back Brandon Jackson all sat out Monday's practice with injuries.
McCarthy said he would give an update on those players until the team's official injury report comes out Wednesday.
