Hudson is one of four cities on the tour; other stops on the May 11-14 event are Marshfield, Platteville and Beaver Dam.

Packer officials said the tours are conducted statewide to thank fans in person for their passionate support of the club through the years.

The tour will take place aboard a customized motor coach emblazoned with the logo "Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour" and the phrase "Touching Down in Your Community."

In addition to the planned stops, surprise stops will be made as the schedule allows.

Culminating the day's activities during the tour will be an evening tailgate party in each city from 6 to 8:30 p.m., with a flavor of famous Lambeau Field tailgating, hosted by a local non-profit organization. The parties will feature food and mingling with Packers representatives. At each tailgate party, footballs autographed by each tour member will be given away as door prizes.

Tailgate party tickets are $25, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the hosting organization (Hudson Boosters). Ticket sales are limited to 650 tickets.

"We look forward to meeting fans across the state," said Murphy. "I had a fantastic time on last year's tour, my first with the Packers. It was a great way to experience the excitement the fans have for the players and the organization. We also enjoy the opportunity to help out a great local organization."

In Hudson, most of the activities will take place at Lakefront Park, and non-ticket holders will also have an opportunity to hear and see some of the festivities.

Booster representative John Herink said the Hudson schedule will be:

  • 5-5:50 p.m. Sponsor dinner with the Packers at the Village inn in North Hudson. Booster members are currently seeking local sponsors at various levels. The event will be emceed by Jay Kolls.
  • 5 p.m. Band (Saving Starz), games, raffles, food and beer sales begin at Lakefront Park.
  • 5:50 p.m. Packer bus is escorted from the Village Inn to Lakefront Park.
  • 6-6:30 p.m. Packer introductions, Packer community talk, question and answers (open to all).
  • 6-8:30 p.m. Ticket holders will be allowed into a large tent where food and beverages are served (included in ticket price).
  • 6:30-8:30 p.m. Ticket holders will be permitted to get autographs from all four Packer representatives on a single item.
  • 8:30-10 p.m. Band and games continue in the park.

Tickets for the respective tailgate parties go on sale March 16. Tickets are available locally at Associated Bank (four locations) and County Market. In most communities the 650 tickets sell very quickly.
