Hudson police were called to Bear Buddies Child Development Center around 8 a.m. Tuesday to respond to an apparent domestic dispute.

According to reports, a mother was in the process of dropping her child off at the center when a man believed to be her boyfriend followed her into the school, and a dispute began.

HPD Chief Dick Trende was one of the officers who responded to the call from the center by the mother. Trende said the woman had left the center with the man by the time police arrived. Trende said he could not confirm whether the woman was forced to leave with the man or if she went voluntarily. The child was left at the center unharmed.

Trende said police then went to the woman's residence and found the car that had been at the daycare parked outside the house. Police knocked on the door but no one answered. They eventually forced a door open. The man was arrested on outstanding warrants. The woman was not injured.

Police were investigating the incident and interviewing both parties on Tuesday morning to determine what, if any, charges would be filed.
