Property assessment review is under way in the city
Bowmar Appraisal Inc. of Eau Claire is currently conducting the annual property assessment review for the city of Hudson.
Company representatives are doing on-site reviews of residential, commercial and industrial properties that were sold or issued a building permit in 2013.
They began visiting city property owners in March and will continue with the reviews periodically throughout April and May.
Any changes to assessments are based on what has been recorded with the St. Croix County Register of Deeds office through December of the previous year, the construction status of building permits as of Jan. 1 of the current year, and other issues such as sales transactions during 2013.
A Bowmar representative also be available to meet with property owners at City Hall, 505 Third St., two days a month for two hours through June or July, and one day a month for two hours from July or August through December. However, the firm’s representatives won’t be at City Hall for the month in which the Open Book appointments are scheduled.
The next scheduled City Hall hours are from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, April 7, and Monday, April 21. Updates on Bowmar’s office hours at City Hall are posted on the city’s website, www.ci.hudson.wi.us, under the tabs Government, then Department, then Assessing.
