The Rats ensured a berth in next month's Wisconsin Baseball Association playoffs with a 7-3 victory Friday night at Osceola. Sunday they saw their 10-game winning streak come to an end by dropping an 8-6 decision at St. Croix Falls.

The split leaves Hudson (10-4, 15-9) with a half-game lead over River Falls (9-4, 14-11) in the North Division of the SCVBL with two league games remaining. Hudson will visit the Hager City Skeeters (3-10, 6-13) for a 7:30 p.m. start Friday, July 24 before closing out its league schedule by hosting the Bay City Bombers (5-8, 6-14) Sunday, July 26 at Grandview Park at 1 p.m.

The Rats will wrap up the regular season with a non-league game against the Eau Claire Bears on Friday, July 31, at 6:15 p.m. at Grandview Park.

The WBA state playoffs are set to begin Aug. 7 at either Rib Lake, Abbotsford, Chippewa Falls or Ellsworth. The WBA State Championship Tournament will be played Aug. 14-16 in Haugen.
