The board of directors for The River City Chorale, created last year, is presently working on its first fundraiser celebration. The event will be held at the Lake Elmo Inn Event Center in Lake Elmo, Minn., on Sept. 12 from 7-10 p.m. The event, called "A Little Night Music", features musical entertainment, silent and live auctions, hors d'oeuvres and desserts and a cash bar.

The vision of Andrew Haase, artistic director, is to grow the organization beyond the St. Croix Valley-based, five-year-old adult choir of 170 voices. This vision is to create a new children's choir, develop auditioned adult choirs and ensembles, collaborate with instrumentalists and find additional venues for performances.

The fundraiser will provide the funds necessary for these plans. The board hopes the public will attend and support this valuable community resource.

Tickets are $50 per person, which includes a $20 donation to the Chorale. The deadline for reservations is Aug. 29. The contact for registration is either therivercitychorale@gmail.com or www.therivercitychorale.wix.com/trcc.
