The Lakefront Park boat launch and the beach remain closed because of the high water.

People are encouraged to go to the website for updates on when the boat launch and the beach will reopen.

First Street resurfacing

The high water on the St. Croix also has delayed the resurfacing of First Street, originally scheduled for the fall of 2013.

The city now reports that the paving of First Street is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, June 25-26.

The contractor will start working early each morning and be done by 11 a.m. each day, the city says. The stretch between Vine and Commercial streets will be resurfaced first.
