Robert Ahlin, 93
Robert "Bob" E. Ahlin passed away peacefully in his home on Sept. 1.
He was born Sept. 20, 1919 and grew up in McKinley, Minn. Bob served as a squadron commander in the Air Service Command Transport Group during WWII. He attended the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, where he met his wife Alice (Anderson) Ahlin. Bob and Alice were married Dec. 22, 1945. The two moved to New Richmond where Bob was employed by then Doughboy Feeds. Bob started his career with Doughboy in poultry feed sales and retired as an executive.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Alice and son Steven "Crow" Ahlin.
Surviving are his children, Robert (Joni) Ahlin of White Bear Lake, Minn., Ann (Joe) Stout, Delray Beach, Fla., and Bill (Tracy) Ahlin of Hudson; and four grandchildren, Brinton, Dana, Tessara and Cally Ahlin.
A private burial was at Fort Snelling Military Cemetery in Minneapolis.
