Hudson Daybreak Rotary recently donated $3,500 to the Hudson Junior Achievement Program. Junior Achievement's purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. Through volunteer-driven K-12 programs, JA fosters work-readiness, entrepreneurships and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire kids to dream big and reach their potential. Junior Achievement has an impact of approximately 4,000 students in the Hudson School District. Currently JA is using the Hudson program as a model for new communities. At the presentation were, from left, Gina Blayney (president/CEO, Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest), Joanne Kocik, Annette Kelley, Melisa Hansen, Deborah Malmberg Smith, Bruce Hanson, Sharon Severson (program director, JAUM), Sandi Kovatch, Jason Fredrickson and Hudson Daybreak Rotarian President Jamie Johnson.
