Wisconsin running back Zach Brown missed practice again Wednesday - and it does not look like he'll play against Iowa on Saturday in Madison. Brown, a junior, suffered a concussion in last weekend's loss at Ohio State.
And John Clay, the Badgers' leading rusher, has been practicing with an undisclosed minor injury.
Freshman Montee Ball is next in line, and will appear to get more playing time against the Hawkeyes.
Ball has 24 yards on seven carries in two games.
Fourth-string freshman Erik Smith has run for 55 yards in 11 attempts but he has not had a carry since the Badgers' victory over Wofford three weeks ago.
The Badgers are 2-1 in the Big Ten and 5-1 overall.
Iowa comes in at 6-0, with a 10-game overall winning streak.
