'Saint of Lost Items' is lost; statue of St. Anthony reported missing
When Catholics lose something, they pray to St Anthony.
And in Green Bay, St. Anthony himself is lost after somebody stole his statue from a secluded chapel on the University of Wisconsin campus.
The 4-and-one-half-foot statue was discovered missing on Sunday.
Joan Jadin, whose family takes care of the chapel, says it might have been stolen last Saturday - which is the Feast Day of St. Anthony.
The chapel is an old limestone structure that's never locked. It's located in the UW-Green Bay Arboretum.
Campus police said the heavy statue was dragged along a path outside the chapel, and it could have been dumped in the nearby woods.
Jadin says the chapel has always been a place of comfort for people and her family is offering a reward for information.
