The Funds raised during our Red Kettle Campaign will be used to support local programs.

Programs include emergency assistance for rent, utilities, transportation, dental services and

medication.

"Because of the hard work hard and support provided by our community we will

be able to provide vital services to families and individuals in our community. Funds will also support our 35 transitional housing units located throughout St. Croix County,"said Duana Bremer, Salvation Army director.

In addition funds are used to provide milk coupons to all food pantries in St. Croix County. Milk coupons provide 1 gallon of milk to individuals and families that seek assistance at local food pantries. Last year more than 7,200 gallons of milk were purchased.

The Salvation Army also operated Grace Place Shelter located in Somerset provides emergency shelter for 24 individuals or eight families. Last year the shelter assisted 154 individuals at this facility.

"Through the efforts of so many hard working volunteers we are able to provide the needed

services to help those less fortunate in our community. The time you took out of your busy

holiday schedule will make a difference in the lives of so many," said Bremer.

Due to the increased demand for services the campaign will continue through Dec. 31. To volunteer call 715-485-1221 or go to ringbells.org to sign up for a convenient time. For more information call (715)485-1221.
