Dr. Steve Adorn placed second with a time of 42:04.

Taren Weyer won the women's competition with a time of 44:41 and placed third overall in the race.

A total of 28 runners completed the 10K course that began in front of Hudson High School and ended near the entrance to the St. Patrick Church lower level fellowship hall.

The top three finishers in the 10K were all from Hudson.

Fifty runners completed in the 5K race won by Richard Hoffman of Lake Elmo, Minn.

Hoffman, like Schmidtknecht, was an easy repeat winner in the Fall Festival races. His time was 17:04, nearly two minutes ahead of second-place finisher Forest Kirschbaum at 18:52.

Hudson Middle School eighth-grader Erin Wetzstein was the fastest female at 20:12. She placed fourth overall behind third-place finisher Curt Weese of North Hudson, whose time was 19:25.

Fifteen youngsters completed the half-mile fun run on the church property.
